Greetings from ASSI!
With no signs of the COVID 19 pandemic abating soon, Virtual Conferences are the new normal. We, at ASSI, also accepted the challenge and went all out to tap the opportunity in the adversity by foraying into this arena for the first time recently in September. The success of the ASSI Virtual Conference 2020 has inspired us to aim for greater heights in our next venture, the ASSI Annual Scientific Meeting, ASSICON 2021: VIRTUAL and make it one of the most memorable ASSICONs. The Organising and the Program Committee have been working diligently to make this event a scientific and social fiesta.
We are excited about the Joint sessions with the German Spine Society as well as the Argentinian Spine Society and a multi-society panel discussion on the “Future of Spine Care” which hold promise of disseminating the most advanced and updated knowledge from a galaxy of experts. You will also be able to enjoy and learn from our keynote addresses, Presidential lecture/oration, ASSI awards, VTI Medal Papers, Presentations, Panel discussions, Free papers and posters. Pre-recorded presentations will be available post-conference, so that delegates can catch up at their leisure.
A lot of thought is going into the organization of this conference and the delegate experience. The schedule is being designed to provide the most convenient timings for maximum participants and to take care of screen time. There will also be an opportunity for socialising through live chat rooms, face to face video calls and group Zoom lounges as we stay connected.
We are also creating opportunities through this Virtual Conference by helping save expenses on travel, accommodation and registration charges.
On behalf of Association of Spine Surgeons of India (ASSI), it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the ASSI Annual Scientific Meeting, ASSICON 2021: VIRTUAL to share your knowledge and experience in management of persons with spinal ailments, especially with the ever-changing circumstances.
Let’s be versatile during the challenge posed by COVID-19 pandemic and rise together to tap this opportunity for a Virtual ConferenceLet’s accelerate the movement to serve our constituency of persons with spinal ailments.
With Regards,Harvinder ChhabraPresident, ASSI
